| Description: | PT on-call (9:00 am - 5:00 pm two/three days a week) position available in a mental health clinic in Minneapolis. |
| Duties: | This position is responsible for providing both direct nursing services to clients receiving services in the MH Clinic, providing an educational component on medication management approaches in psychiatry and supportive counseling with the clients. This position would prescribe psychotropic medications in collaboration with the clinic psychiatrist, communicate with other health professionals in the community and provide both group and individual psycho-education in helping clients understand the side effects of their medication. The nurse is an active member of the clinical team and will share responsibility for completing diagnostic assessments with the Clinical staff. |
| Qualifications: | To qualify for this position you must be a Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in psychiatric and mental health nursing who may prescribe medications in collaboration with consulting community psychiatrists. This person must have an interest in working in a fast-paced crisis program environment and the ability to appreciate and give appropriate feedback to staff about the need for follow-through on the details of their work.
